Our History

Peter and Marisa Podella have been serving the best NY-style pizza and traditional Italian recipes in North Carolina since 1993.

Peter and Marisa are natives of the Calabria region of Italy. Their philosophy is simple: they believe in the best available ingredients, authentic recipes and a touch of personal service. They dedicated their professional life to the creation of dishes that look and taste as if straight out of their own family kitchen. At Pizza Italia you will always find wholesome food, fair prices, and the best customer service in town.

Edda and Anthony Podella can be often found behind the counter at Pizza Italia helping their parents. They are poised to continue the family tradition and offer the same quality food to the next generation of customers.

Call us at 919-571-8555 to order any of our delicious dishes. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 8:30 PM. We are closed on Sunday.

You can take out or eat in our restaurant at 6405 Westgate Road in Raleigh, NC. Please note that at this time we do not offer home delivery.
